Volleyball Recap: Bryan Lie and Eli Anderson Secure Win for Rocklin

Davis Sr. came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Rocklin, but Donovan Kuwazaki wouldn't allow it. The Thunder put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday for which the team can thank Kuwazaki, who had 12 digs and three assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

While Rocklin might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Davis Sr. scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.

Rocklin was led to victory by Eli Anderson and Bryan Lie. Anderson had 12 assists and five digs, while Lie had six kills and six digs.

When it comes to explaining why Davis Sr. lost, don't look at Ryan Buzbee. Despite the final result, he had 16 digs. Nathan Bourne also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

With the victory, Rocklin broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-15. As for Davis Sr., they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Rocklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Whitney on the 23rd. As for Davis Sr., they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Jesuit on the 23rd.
