Basketball Recap: Jordan Valley Takes a Loss

Jordan Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Country Christian Cougars, falling 73-34. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Cougars are ranked 69th).

Jordan Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Country Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan Valley will face off against Crane at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Country Christian, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Country Christian Cougars face off against the Southwest Christian Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Country Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
