Softball Game Preview: Foxcroft vs. Saint James Saints

Foxcroft will head out on the road to face off against the Saint James Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Foxcroft is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 18-1 to Saint John Paul the Great Catholic.

Foxcroft saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Saint James fell victim to Allegany and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Campers, falling 7-0. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Campers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Foxcroft's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Saint James, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Foxcroft suffered a grim 23-0 defeat to Saint James when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Foxcroft avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
