Volleyball Recap: Garner Takes a Loss

If Garner was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Johnston on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

While Garner was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.

Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wake Christian Academy, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garner will challenge Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will square off against Providence Day at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
