Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Hickory Ridge's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Hickory Ridge got themselves on the board against West Cabarrus on Friday, but West Cabarrus never followed suit. They blew past the Wolverines 11-0. Considering the Ragin' Bulls have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Victoria Porretta was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Hickory Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Cabarrus struck out eight times.

Hickory Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for West Cabarrus, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

As of now, neither Hickory Ridge nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
