Baseball Recap: South Newton Takes a Loss

South Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-7 to the Frontier Falcons. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Keaton Luttrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Frontier, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

While South Newton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
