Baseball Recap: Holy Spirit Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lower Cape May on Tuesday, Holy Spirit came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Moorestown Quakers on Wednesday, falling 10-2. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Holy Spirit's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Moorestown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Holy Spirit will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Egg Harbor Township at 11:00 a.m. As for Moorestown, they will head out on the road to take on Seneca at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Quakers are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
