Soccer Recap: Santiago Takes a Loss

Santiago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Los Amigos Lobos. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Cavaliers couldn't quite close it out.

Santiago's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-2. As for Los Amigos, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santiago will head out to square off against Anaheim at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Anaheim's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Los Amigos, they are taking a road trip to challenge Santa Ana Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Amigos' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
