Softball Recap: Ridgeline Triumphs

Ridgeline won the last time they faced Mountain Crest and things went their way on Friday too. The Riverhawks came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 10-5.

Ridgeline got a great performance from Avery Lamont as she pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave Lamont a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Anne Wallace was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Ava Hess was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Mountain Crest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ridgeline will face off against rival West Field at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mountain Crest is set to take on their familiar foe Logan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
