Soccer Recap: Shelton Comes Up Short

Shelton came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Tumwater Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tumwater this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in March.

Shelton's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Tumwater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelton will square off against Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aberdeen will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Shelton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tumwater, they will take on Black Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Black Hills' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
