Softball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Southeast's Winning Streak

Southeast came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-6 to the Keystone Wildcats. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lylia Lavigna was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Ava Stephens was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Keystone, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will welcome Chagrin Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.87 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Keystone, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berkshire at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
