Tristan Bacon's Big Game Leads Kellis over West Point

Starting off the list is Kellis's Tristan Bacon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bacon rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending a pass.

Kellis pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Bacon and Kellis will take on Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Grant Guidry stepped things up a notch to give Westview the 'W'. Guidry was unstoppable, throwing for 302 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt.

Westview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. They and Cibola are set to duel on Friday.

Ronald Coty Iii Makes It Two for Kellis

The second Kellis player making an appearance here is Ronald Coty Iii, and for good reason. He threw for 119 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

If history really does repeat itself, Coty Iii might just drop another big game when he faces off against Paradise Valley on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Coty Iii saw the Trojans), he rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 35 yards and a touchdown.

Andrew Ibarra Delivers Best Performance of Season

Westview was led to victory by Andrew Ibarra, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ibarra picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

On the season, Ibarra has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 31.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.71 receiving yards per game.

Isaiah Vasquez Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, North Canyon had to settle for second even though Isaiah Vasquez put up the best numbers he has all season. Vasquez made 20 total tackles.
