Basketball Recap: Ocean View's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Ocean View needed a changed in momentum after dropping seven straight games and they got it from Zeke Case. The Ocean View Seahawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Segerstrom Jaguars on Friday, sneaking past 67-64 thanks in part to Case, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Ocean View's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-18. As for Segerstrom, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Ocean View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-54 defeat against West on the 18th. As for Segerstrom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-57 loss against Pioneer on the 20th.
