Recap: Laramie Plainsmen vs. East Thunderbirds

On Wednesday, the Laramie Plainsmen faced the East Thunderbirds in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Laramie fell 50-42 to East. Laramie's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Plainsmen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Milam, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Milam has scored all season. Addison Forry was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists.

Laramie's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-4. As for East, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Laramie will head out on the road to square off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. East won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wyoming Rankings (they are ranked 48th, while East is ranked fifth).
