Softball Recap: Ocean City Raiders vs. Holy Spirit Spartans
In what's become a running theme this season, Ocean City gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Holy Spirit Spartans with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Ocean City.
Brooke Douglas and Jessica Mooney made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Douglas pitched two innings while giving up no earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Mooney struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. At bat, Douglas scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Mooney went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs.
