Volleyball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Abbi Koelling and Kendall Stroer

Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eureka Wildcats. The Red Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Incarnate Word Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kendall Stroer, who had 19 digs, and Abbi Koelling, who had 14 digs and two assists. Stroer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Incarnate Word Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Eureka, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season.

Incarnate Word Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Notre Dame on the 1st. As for Eureka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against St. Francis Borgia on the 1st.
