Basketball Recap: Tarkio Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Tarkio hadn't done well against South Holt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tarkio Indians secured a 54-48 W over the South Holt Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-37 back in December of 2024.

Tarkio's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for South Holt, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Tarkio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-37 loss against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 18th. As for South Holt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-48 defeat against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] on the 16th.
