Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Trinity Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Legacy Charter on Thursday. Considering Trinity Christian Academy has won four games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jenessa Pomales made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Pomales was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Charleigh Morasse was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kay'La Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Legacy Charter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Trinity Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Edgewater on the 28th. As for Legacy Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 victory against Father Lopez on the 4th.
