It was a good run, but Covington Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centerville Elks. Covington Catholic were not able to make up for their loss to Centerville from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Covington Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Centerville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Covington Catholic will head out to take on Dixie Heights at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie Heights' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Centerville, they will square off against Fairmont at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville's defense better be ready for this one: Fairmont have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season.
