Basketball Game Preview: Mandeville Skippers vs. East St. John Wildcats

The Mandeville Skippers and the East St. John Wildcats will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mandeville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points on Saturday, they were much more limited against Archbishop Hannan on Friday. They had to suffer through a 57-20 loss at the hands of the Hawks. The contest marked the Skippers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, East St. John was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against Madison Prep Academy, falling 76-28. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Madison Prep Academy are ranked sixth).

East St. John now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mandeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
