Caleb Brown Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Neptune had to settle for second even though Caleb Brown put up the best numbers he has all season. Brown rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 63 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.

Neptune now has a losing record at 3-4. Brown and Neptune will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Freehold Boro at 12:00 p.m. on November 2nd.

Cole Torres Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Shore Regional was led to victory by Cole Torres, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Torres rushed for 180 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.

The win for Shore Regional keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Torres and Shore Regional will be playing in front of their home fans against Asbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Josh Moeller and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Josh Moeller was instrumental in extending Shore Regional's winning streak to seven on Friday. Moeller did his part (and then some), throwing for 120 yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground for the 'W'. What's more, he also racked up 24 rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.

This season, Moeller has thrown 9 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 123 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 41.43 passing yards per game.

Jake Salerno posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.
