 It was a good run, but  Covenant Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell  8-5 to the Providence Day Chargers. Covenant Day was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Providence Day apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2023.
  Kaitlyn Allen and  Isabelle (Izzy) Horton stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Allen  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and a  triple, while  Horton  scored two  runs while going 4-for-4.
 On Providence Day's side,  Rachel Lyons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. Lyons has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Olivia Hartsell was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 4-for-4.  Grace Dillman was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 Covenant Day's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Providence Day, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Day will  face off against Charlotte Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Covenant Day is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season. As for Providence Day, they will head out on the road to  take on  Charlotte Country Day School at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Providence Day is facing Charlotte Country Day School at the right time seeing as Charlotte Country Day School is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
