Football Recap: Valley Union Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Valley Union had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the St. David Tigers 58-0 on Friday. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

St. David's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Pacheco, who picked up 32 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 57 yards. Emmitt Etter made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Union will head out to challenge Desert Heights Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. David, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
