Volleyball Recap: Trego Comes Up Short

Trego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12.

Bailey Ziegler paced Trego's offense, picking up two kills. Ziegler got some help from Maura Albers and her three assists.

Trego's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-12.

Trego wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Phillipsburg on the 11th. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Norton on the 11th.
