ALA - Gilbert North had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They walked away with a 53-42 win over the Eastmark Firebirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-58 back in January.

ALA - Gilbert North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyle Speed, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 boards. Speed is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played. Nash Jensen also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

ALA - Gilbert North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Eastmark's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhys Walcott, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Gesner, who earned nine points.

ALA - Gilbert North pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Eastmark, they moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
