Basketball Game Preview: Pecatonica Indians vs. Platteville Hillmen

The Pecatonica Indians will challenge the Platteville Hillmen at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pecatonica knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Platteville likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Pecatonica earned a 69-57 victory over Forreston. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Cardinals are ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Platteville beat Lancaster 69-58 on Friday.

Pecatonica's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Platteville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
