Richmond extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Gabriel Johnson. The Richmond Spartans had just enough and edged the Lexington Minutemen out 59-56 thanks to Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Richmond is 17-1 when Johnson posts eight or more boards, but 1-2 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brice Dome, who posted seven points and seven assists. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Richmond pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Coming up, Richmond will head out on the road to square off against Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season. As for Lexington, they will face off against Holden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lexington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.
