Basketball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Forest Academy Caxys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Caxys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-49 back in January.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Lake Forest Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.

Northridge and Lake Forest Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Northridge will challenge Latin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 355 places (128 vs. 483). Northridge will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Lake Forest Academy (ranked 88th) will meet North Chicago (ranked 496th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
