Jacob Gonzalez Game Report: vs Slaton

A big congratulations to Jacob Gonzalez, who made at least ten total tackles for the first time in his career. He made 15 total tackles as Friona fell to Slaton 50-22. Our internal rating system judged Friday's effort as the best he's ever given (but hopefully not for long).

Coming up, Gonzalez and Friona are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: Friona will square off against Spearman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chieftans closed last season having struggled on the road and they will enter the matchup having lost six straight away games dating back to last season.
