Basketball Recap: Manistique Comes Up Short

Manistique was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 48-32 bruising from the Gwinn Modeltowners. The Emeralds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Modeltowners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gwinn, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Manistique will head out on the road to take on Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gwinn, they will be home for the holidays to greet Munising at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
