Baseball Game Preview: Buena Vista Bison vs. Bryan Bears

Buena Vista hasn't had much luck against Bryan recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bison will venture away from home to square off against the Bears at 3:00 p.m. Buena Vista has given up an average of 14.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Burke hit Buena Vista with a seven-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bison came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-1.

Buena Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oswaldo Heredia-Reyes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bryan didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln High on Friday and fell 5-4.

Trey Fondren made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Buena Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
