Fenwick won the last time they faced Nazareth Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Friars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Roadrunners, sneaking past 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Friars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fenwick had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Nazareth Academy still got an impressive performance from Valentino Ramos, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Fenwick's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Nazareth Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Fenwick will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Park-River Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Friars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nazareth Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Belvidere North at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
