Softball Recap: Sylacauga Takes a Loss

Sylacauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Central of Clay County Volunteers. The Aggies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Volunteers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Sylacauga saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Harshberger, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Sylacauga's record now sits at 6-14. As for Central of Clay County, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylacauga will challenge Benjamin Russell at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central of Clay County, they will head out to challenge Briarwood Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
