Basketball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Starts Season with Win at Home

Archbishop Hoban gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took down the McKinley Bulldogs 77-63. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 78-64 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, McKinley still got an impressive performance from Davey Thompson, who posted 22 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Legacy Lee, who earned eight points and five boards.

McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Archbishop Hoban is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on North Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McKinley, they will head out to face off against Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
