Basketball Recap: Westside Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. Joseph Academy + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westside). They came out on top against the St. Joseph Academy Flashes by a score of 67-59 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westside found their leader in sophomore Janard Williams-Biggiers, who posted 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams-Biggiers has scored all season. Jayden Marshall was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Several Flashes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Everett, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Zakrocki, who put up 16 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

The win got Westside back to even at 2-2. As for St. Joseph Academy, their record is now 0-2.

Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-52 loss against Oakleaf on the 29th. As for St. Joseph Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-40 defeat against Bishop Snyder on the 2nd.
