Baseball Game Preview: Tomales Braves vs. Grace Christian Academy Lions

The Tomales Braves will challenge the Grace Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Tomales' win against Victory Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Tomales sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Victory Christian Academy on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since February 28, 2024.

Stran Stevens was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stevens was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Lucas Alves was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Shaun Pelayo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rio Lindo Adventist an 18-0 shutout.
