Suburban - West recap Oct. 16, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Marquette, who took down 85th ranked Marquette, 23-7. Garrett Krueger threw for 72 yards and ran for 28 yards in the win.

Lafayette extended the longest winning streak in Suburban - West this week by beating Parkway South, 19-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Lindbergh's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Flyers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Logan Offner has thrown for 609 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Ben Kraft has 15 catches for 186 yards. Krueger leads the league in rushing with 364 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Eureka takes on the Patriots. The Wildcats are currently in third, while Parkway South is in second.

Oakville was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Suburban - West. Earlier in the week, the Tigers defeated Northwest 42-8.
