Baseball Recap: West Essex Knights vs. Millburn Millers

West Essex extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 10-7 in the process. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millburn Millers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

As for Millburn, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games.

For Millburn's part, Leo Dalton tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Dalton also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Millers are undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 9-10 otherwise.
