Volleyball Recap: Homewood-Flossmoor Comes Up Short

Homewood-Flossmoor lost against Oswego East back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oswego East was led to victory by Nathan Thach and Max Coleman. Thach had 14 digs and one assist, while Coleman had five digs and three aces. Coleman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Homewood-Flossmoor's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Oswego East, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Homewood-Flossmoor will challenge Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oswego East, they will square off against Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
