Volleyball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

Lytle lost against Somerset last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Lytle took Somerset into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-9, 12-25, 15-25, 15-13.

Lytle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Somerset, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Lytle has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Jourdanton on the 9th. As for Somerset, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Pearsall on the 9th.
