A well-balanced attack led Brooks over East Lawrence in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lions blew the Eagles out of the water with a 56-20 final score. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Brooks to victory were Ro Thompson and Tanner Bowens. Thompson rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Bowens rushed for 114 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Those 124 rushing yards gave Thompson a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brooks was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 429 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Lawrence only rushed for 98.

Despite the loss, East Lawrence still got an impressive performance from Cayne McClure, who rushed for 104 yards on only 13 carries.

The win was the third in a row for Brooks, bringing their record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.7 points on average over those games. As for East Lawrence, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

As of now, neither Brooks nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
