Basketball Recap: Keswick Christian's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Keswick Christian came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Keswick Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Cook, who went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Cook has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Zach Bingham was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Conor Whalen, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexavier Dorval-Ferris, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Keswick Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

The future could be bright for both Keswick Christian and Bishop McLaughlin Catholic: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Keswick Christian will try to hand Canterbury their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic will try to hand Academy at the Lakes their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
