Softball Recap: Pine River Area Triumphs

Morley Stanwood typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Pine River Area proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Mowhawks.

Pine River Area pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Morley Stanwood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Coincidentally, Pine River Area and Morley Stanwood will both be playing Lakeview the next time they take the field. The Bucks will host the Wildcats at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mowhawks will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
