Basketball Recap: Wapanucka Takes a Loss

Wapanucka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Thackerville Wildcats, falling 44-21. The Indians were probably out for revenge after losing 65-50 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wapanucka's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Thackerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Wapanucka will square off against Boswell at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Thackerville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Turner at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Turner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
