Basketball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland was the 47-44 winner over Hanks when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Midland Bulldogs fell 49-42 to the Hanks Knights on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hanks found their leader in freshman Johnny Butterfield, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Saucedo, who posted nine points.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hanks, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Midland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-29 defeat against Americas on the 12th. As for Hanks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-37 loss against Eastwood on the 13th.
