Baseball Recap: Karns Comes Up Short

While it was Karns who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Mercer County who put up more. The Beavers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. While the Beavers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 4-0 in the first period.

Karns now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Mercer County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Karns will square off against Shady Spring at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mercer County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-6 victory against Hardin Valley Academy on the 4th.
