Volleyball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton lost against Jack Britt back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers.

Triton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Elynoeh Cuevas-Vidal had an outrageously good game for Jack Britt as she had 21 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Cuevas-Vidal a new career-high.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jack Britt, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton will take on Northern Nash at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jack Britt, they will face off against Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
