Recap: Edgemont vs. Hill City
Hill City won the last time they faced Edgemont, and things went their way on Friday, too. Everything went Hill City's way against Edgemont as they made off with a 40-14 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.
Edgemont's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Caleb Simons, who picked up 130 yards on the ground and accumulated 98 passing yards. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Brennen Hanes, who racked up 9 tackles.
The victory bumped Hill City's record up to 2-0. Edgemont are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Next week, Hill City take on Wall at 7:00 PM. Edgemont have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next contest, which is against Faith at 6:00 PM in two weeks.
