Basketball Recap: Woods Charter Victorious

Woods Charter won the last time they faced River Mill, and Wesley Oliver did her part to make sure it happened again. The Woods Charter Wolves enjoyed a cozy 44-29 victory over the River Mill Jaguars on Friday thanks in part to Oliver, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 25 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Woods Charter now has a winning record of 6-5. As for River Mill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Woods Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-32 loss against Chatham Charter on the 27th. As for River Mill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-21 defeat against Triangle Math & Science on the 28th.
