Basketball Recap: Belle Chasse Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Belle Chasse lost against Hammond back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Belle Chasse Cardinals fell 46-37 to the Hammond Tornadoes. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hammond's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Carbo, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Harland, who posted ten points and four steals.

Belle Chasse's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Hammond, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Belle Chasse will welcome Wright at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Wright's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Hammond, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Paul's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
